Nursing Assistant Training (CNA) Program
Nursing Assistant Training (CNA) Program
This 8 week program provides each Nursing Assistant Training Program (NATP) student with 60 hours of online theory, 16 hours of on-campus skills lab practice, and 100 hours of hands-on clinical training in the field. Upon completion of the program, the student is eligible for the California state competency examination, as required to practice as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
Class Schedules & Grading Criteria
Theory courses are offered online via live Zoom lectures where students and instructors interact in a specific virtual place at a set time. Instructors take attendance as they would in a classroom setting. Students must complete all theory hours prior to starting clinicals. Students must pass the online exam for each theory module with a minimum 75% score to complete the module.
Clinical shifts and skills labs may be scheduled two (2) or more days per week, Monday through Friday. Clinical shift hours are typically from 7:00AM – 3:30PM. On-campus skills labs are typically 4-hour shifts, and clinical shifts will never exceed 8 hours per day.
